It was a lot of work, but it\u2019s a big step toward a more self-reliant life out here.<\/p>\n<p>Somewhere in the middle of all that, the heat got to us \u2014 which doesn\u2019t happen often around here. So we took a break and crossed the harbour to our favourite swimming spot \u2014 a little waterfall tucked into the woods.
