I used NEP BDM-800 microinverters which meet the new requirements of UL 1741 SB and the BDG-256 gateway that allows you to monitor your panels online.<\/p>\n<p>After getting various quotes for solar, I decided that I could save a ton of money by installing solar myself. My total cost was less than \u00bd the lowest bidder, and less than \u00bc the cost of the highest bidder.<\/p>\n<p>First \u2013 Look for panels that are the right power and size for your application. Consider buying an entire pallet as this can actually be cheaper sometimes than buying just the number you need.
