Publish a WordPress post and let your website notify ChatGPT automatically! In this tutorial, I show you how to configure Aimogen Pro with the MCP Server Creator extension and subscribe ChatGPT to events from your website.
Get Aimogen Pro: https://wpbay.com/product/aimogen-pro/
Get the MCP extension: https://wpbay.com/product/aiomatic-extension-mcp-server-creator/
For this example, I use the post.published event. When I publish a new post, WordPress sends the event to the connected ChatGPT client, which replies in the subscribed chat with the post title and link.
I walk through the MCP server settings, OAuth connection, AI Automations event settings, and the subscription used for the test. You can also check active subscriptions and event delivery status directly inside WordPress.
Here is the prompt you can use:
“Use my Aimogen site to subscribe to post.published. Whenever a new post is published, reply in this chat with its title and link. Do not edit the site.”
This opens up more possibilities than new post notifications. Depending on your installed plugins and enabled event sources, you can build workflows around WooCommerce orders, low stock, form submissions, comments, failed automations, and other website events.
For this setup, you need an updated installation of Aimogen Pro and the MCP extension, a publicly accessible HTTPS website, and ChatGPT Work with support for plugins and event-triggered tasks. Enable OAuth and AI Automations events, connect your site, and wait for an active subscription before publishing your test post. Delivery uses WordPress cron, so allow a few minutes.
What WordPress event would you want ChatGPT to react to? Tell me in the comments!
