In this DROPS video we show how to knit a jumper top down in the round on circular needles.
We show how we increase for raglan by doing a YO 2 sts before marker and 2 sts after marker, and on next round K YO twisted to avoid a hole. We have already worked neck (rib) and start the video with the 1st round where we do the increase. We also show how we put the sleeve stitches on a thread, how we cast on new sts under arm and knit the sleeve.

In this DROPS video we show how you make a tubular cast on using waste yarn.
This makes flexible and elastic edges, which is perfect for the edge on a ribbed top down sock, ribbed cuff edges etc.
Cast on half the number of sts the pattern call for and work a couple of rows with waste yarn, ending with a RS row. Change to working yarn and work stockinette starting on a WS row. Work a minimum of 4 rows, if thinner yarn work 6 or 8 rows, end with a RS row.
Next row: P1, pick up the yarn in first st below on left needle and K the stitch, P1, repeat pick up and K, continue until end of row. Now cut and remove waste yarn. Continue in rib K1, P1.
This video has NO SOUND – you must read the pattern to be able to follow this video properly.

Do you want to open a franchise, but aren’t sure which are the top performers? Are you overwhelmed by the amount of conflicting information out there? Afraid to lose your life-savings on a bad deal, but don’t know how to read complex financial statements?
In this short video Professor Hans Rosling shows that people live longer in countries with a high GDP per capita. No high income countries have short life expectancy, and no low income countries have long life expectancy. Still, there is a huge difference in life expectancy between countries on the same income level, depending on how the money is distributed and how it is used.

— Income data: World Bank’s GDP per capita, PPP (constant 2011 international $), Jan 14 2015.
— Life expectancy: IHME 2014. Available from http://vizhub.healthdata.org/le/. Jan 14 2015

In this DROPS video we show how to pick up sts along the side of a piece worked in garter st.
Between each “bump”, there are two rows/holes to pick up in. To make an even pickup it usually works well to pick up alternating two and one stitch between every two knots.
