Watch this before you blame your solar panels. 🚨
Most people who install rooftop solar in India never find out about this mistake — and it silently costs them ₹2,50,000 over the life of their system. Not because they bought bad panels. Not because their inverter failed. But because of two things that take 10 minutes to get right at the time of installation — and are almost impossible to fix cheaply after the fact.
Solar panel direction. And tilt angle.
In this video, I break down exactly why this happens, what the science says, and — most importantly — what the correct numbers are for YOUR city in India.

⚡ WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN THIS VIDEO
✅ Why flat-mounted solar panels are the worst mistake you can make
✅ Why your installer probably never told you about tilt angle
✅ The correct solar panel direction for every Indian city
✅ Ideal tilt angles for Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai & Kolkata
✅ How dust accumulation on flat panels destroys your generation — silently
✅ A real scientific study that proved 80.4% power loss on flat panels after 183 days without rain
✅ How to check your existing solar system right now — in under 5 minutes
✅ The 3 rules that every installer MUST follow — and how to verify them

📐 CITY-WISE IDEAL TILT ANGLES
🏙 Delhi / NCR → 28° to 30°
🏙 Mumbai → 19°
🏙 Bengaluru → 13° to 15°
🏙 Chennai → 11° to 13°
🏙 Kolkata → 22° to 24°
🏙 Jaipur → 26° to 28°
🏙 Hyderabad → 17° to 19°
🏙 Pune → 18° to 20°
Simple rule → Your tilt angle should equal your city’s latitude. That’s it.

💡 THE 3 RULES OF CORRECT SOLAR INSTALLATION
1️⃣ Always face True South — not magnetic south, not east, not wherever the installer found space
2️⃣ Tilt = Your Latitude — calculated, not guessed
3️⃣ Never flat — minimum 10° always, no exceptions

📊 THE NUMBERS THAT WILL SHOCK YOU
❌ Wrong tilt & direction = 15–25% annual energy loss
❌ Flat panel after 6 months without rain = up to 80.4% power loss (peer-reviewed study, Jeddah 2025)
❌ Dust accumulation on flat panels = 2X compared to tilted panels
❌ Over 25 years on a 5kW system = ₹1,50,000 to ₹2,50,000 lost — just from wrong angle

🔍 HOW TO CHECK YOUR EXISTING SOLAR SYSTEM
Step 1 → Open Google Maps. Check which direction your panels are facing. South = good. Anything else = problem.
Step 2 → Download a free inclinometer app. Place it on your panel. If angle is below 10° on a flat roof — flag it.
Step 3 → Pull your inverter’s monthly generation data. Consistently 15–20% below expected? Direction or tilt is likely the culprit.
