5BB (5-busbar) 1/6 cut solar cells, often derived from standard 156.75mm or 158.75mm monocrystalline/polycrystalline cells, are segmented to reduce internal resistance, improve efficiency, and enhance shading tolerance. Cutting cells into sixths (often described within the broader category of small/half-cut cell technology) lowers the electrical current within each piece, decreasing energy loss and enhancing module durability against hot spots.
