President Donald Trump’s job approval slipped heading into President’s Day amid ongoing pessimism about the state of the economy and disapproval over the administration’s handling of Greenland.
Overall, 36% of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance, versus 62% who disapprove, according to an AP-Norc poll. Approval was down from 40% in January, while disapproval rose from 59%.
Pessimism on the economy has eased somewhat in the past month, with 59% disapproving of how Trump has handled the economy, versus 62% who said that in January, the poll said. But 72% of those polled disapproved of how Trump has handled Greenland, versus 25% who approved, the poll asked for the first time.
