White House: Epstein emails ‘prove nothing’
- The US House of Representatives will begin voting at 7pm (midnight GMT) on a bill to end the longest government shutdown in United States history. If it passes, it will be sent to US President Donald Trump to sign.
- Democrats have released emails in which convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein suggested that Trump was aware of the late financier’s abuse and “knew about the girls”. Trump has slammed the emails as a hoax, accusing the Democrats of distracting from the shutdown.
