It has been less than a year since President Donald Trump returned to office, and in that time, his administration has been relentless in pushing forward its agenda.

Trump has enacted widespread tariffs, reduced the federal workforce, ramped up immigration enforcement for those without legal status, deployed the National Guard to American cities, and passed a sweeping tax and policy bill. The administration also hit snags on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, the ongoing war in Ukraine and the longest-ever government shutdown.

Trump’s approach has been controversial and not all popular, as his approval rating has been underwater on average since the spring. Some recent polls show he is losing support on his handling of the economy, an issue that helped his re-election.

In addition to almost a year back in office as the 47th president, Trump also served another term from 2017-2021.

Trump is just one of two presidents in history to be elected to nonconsecutive terms.

Grover Cleveland was the first, serving as the 22nd and 24th presidents from 1885 to 1889 and 1893 to 1897, respectively.
